Shaping a Genesis week from the chaos of my life

Words that resonate–especially today

It’s hard to breathe, some moments. Know what I mean? A day when thoughts are too heavy, worries are too binding, and all of a sudden I realize I’m holding my breath.

That’s the kind of day I was having.  And then I read this.

“Sometimes you don’t realize the weight of something you’ve been carrying until you feel the weight of its release”

There’s still a weight.  I’m just not carrying it alone anymore.

That’s so true. I know I’m really good at forging ahead no matter what burdens are weighing me down, and I do it so long that I learn to ignore them rather than deal with them. And then, when I finally get it through my thick head that carrying them around with me is slowing me down and I let them go, I’m shocked to feel how light my feet are.

And some days, we have to do it again..and again…and again. Sigh. You’d think I’d learn?

I feel sad you have to carry that weight and yet grateful you do know you are not carrying it alone. I wish I could carry it for you, but we all have our individual journeys don’t we? Praying for one another is a sure way of carrying a burden with someone and bringing that burden to the Throne of Mercy.

yes, my friend. You are so right. We’ve had to do it for each other, haven’t we? And we are blessed because of it.

And of course you are always, always in my prayers. We’re never going it alone when people are praying for us. Even the tween girls on the blog have taught us that just in the last few days, huh? Thank you for this, precious friend.
